We can know that it is an advertisement of LEGO by the hint of logo of LEGO. In this ad, a part of it is blurred as if the man is injecting drugs into his arm. Obviously, the man is very painful as he bites a belt tightly and his pale face is twisted. There is also a slogan shown" Kids shouldn't watch too much tv" saying children should play more Lego toys instead of watching TV, otherwise, children may imitate these kinds of things from television someday.

Telling parents to buy their children some intelligent toys so to prevent their children from becoming couch potatoes and act extremely. Indeed, the basic concept of this ad is good since television is filled with improper information. However, it seems that implying TV should bear all the responsibilities for these kinds of consequences as the improper information from TV may affect the mental development of children. Is TV really bad for children? Of course not. There is a famous saying " Everything has two sides, the advantages and disadvantages." Therefore, TV also provides some benefits to children such as being a platform for children to know more about the world.

On top of that, this ad seems to cross the line as a drug addict is used as advertising. How can a drug addict related to toys? Undoubtedly, this ad has been igniting controversy.

It is a bit tasteless, you are right! Maybe Lego is tired of creating 'nice' and 'wholesome' images in their advertisements!

There is also a slogan shown...saying?
toys so preventing their children become...to prevent...from becoming
it seems that implying TV should bear all the responsibilities for these kinds of consequences...[incomplete meaning]
